Dear Sir or Madame:

You have made inquiry or applied for a permit to build an accessory building without a principal building. Our zoning ordinance gives this definition:

3.1 ACCESSORY BUILDING (Amended, Ord 1997-11)

A non-dwelling structure.

The ordinance further states:

8.1 ACCESSORY BUILDINGS

B. An accessory building may not be allowed when there is no principal building.

The township has constantly enforced this requirement. I regret to inform you that I will not issue a zoning permit for an accessory building without a principal structure.
