Notice of Public Hearing for a Special Use Permit

NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during a meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Hall Board Room at 2010 South Lincoln Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. Purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on PSUP25-01 special use permit application for an Open-Air Business. The applicant: OHB Properties LLC “Old Hickory Buildings” (authorized by owner Tolas George & Petro) has requested an open-air business special use permit to sell accessory buildings as permitted under section 3.15 (B-7 Retail, and Service Highway Business District, Special Uses) and section 14.3 (Special Use Permits) of the Zoning Ordinance.
Located at 4694 E. Pickard Road on parcel 14-014-20-030-00 in the NE ¼ of Section 14 and in the B-7 (Retail, and Service Highway Business District).
Legal Description: T14N R4W, SEC 14; E 8 RDS OF N 20 RDS OF W 1/2 OF E 1/2 OF NW 1/4 OF NE 1/4 ALSO S 10 RDS OF E 8 RDS OF N 30 RDS OF W 1/2 OF E 1/2 OF NW 1/4 OF NE 1/4
The application may be inspected during business hours at the Township Hall. The Zoning Ordinance and Map are also available for viewing on the Township’s website at: https://www.uniontownshipmi.com/Departments/ZoningandPlanningServices.aspx/.
Any interested person may submit their views in person, in writing, or by signed proxy prior to the public hearing or at the public hearing. Written comments may be sent to the Charter Township of Union Planning Commission, 2010 South Lincoln Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858, sent via email to info@uniontownshipmi.com, or dropped off in the drop box next to the Township Hall entrance.
