Pre-Application Meeting

Interested in making great use of a commercial or industrial property in the Township?  Considering a new residential or commercial development project, expansion of an existing building, or improvements to a previously developed site?  Are you a land developer, business owner, landowner, or agent with questions about land development, utility plans, or zoning?

You are invited and encouraged to contact the Community and Economic Development Department at (989) 772-4600 or via the Contact Us link to set up a pre-application meeting with Township staff to share development-related ideas and get answers to your questions, or to discuss a conceptual plan, application submittal requirements and development review procedures.

This is a great way to identify and hopefully to solve any problems related to your project plans early on, before they might become expensive to fix!

Meetings can be in-person, by phone, or via videoconference using the Zoom app or other available services.

There is no fee for this type of informal meeting, which can be arranged to fit your schedule.  Confidentiality is maintained to the maximum extent possible consistent with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requirements.
