Citizen's Guide to Local Finances and Performance

City, Village, and Township Revenue Sharing (CVTRS):

The CVTRS program requires local governmental units to meet certain criteria in order to qualify for revenue sharing payments.  The purpose of the program is to establish a standard level of accountability and transparency for municipalities.  The following documents provide a level of fiscal transparency and insight into key operation performance metrics for the Charter Township of Union.  Please click on any of the four links below to view the financial documents.

Citizen's Guide-Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021  Provides fiscal financial information for the General Fund, Enterprise Funds, Component Units, All Other Governmental Funds of the Township, as well as the Township as a whole.  This link takes you to the State of Michigan's website which also provides analytical data on the Township's property taxes and debt.

Performance Dashboard-Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021  This report provides financial and operational measures reflective of fiscal stability, economic strength, and quality of life in the Township.  All indicators are updated each year.

Debt Service Report (All Funds)  The Charter Township of Union has four bonded debt obligations, each of which require annual principal and interest payments.  This page provides the annual payment requirements for each of these obligations 

Projected Budget Report 2022-2023  The Township Board of Trustees adopted and amended the 2022 budget.  The 2023 recommended budget shown in this report is for comparison purposes.  This report provides a summary of the General Fund budget as well as the Township's Fire Fund budget.
